About Me

Marc started woodworking in 1982. While working as a vice president of a bank he wanted quality furniture for his son- pieces that would last him a lifetime.  He started with bunk beds and ventured into puzzle-making using a scroll saw.  His passion hobby-turned-business has afforded him the opportunity to lecture on the use of the scroll saw in 48 of the 50 states. Mr. Berner has written articles regarding the scroll saw in several magazines and a completed a book on scroll saws.

Marc’s passion for woodworking has not waned. You can meet him most weekends at the Sacramento Farmers Market, a craft fair or teaching at the Hackers Lab. Marc also habitually lectures at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking - spreading ithe joy of skillful woodworking to anyone who is willing to learn.
